Mind Your Tongue

Mind Your Tongue
Posted on September 06, 2024

Many of us refuse to use the second most powerful tool, our voice, which we were all blessed with. And this is not directed at voting, even though it could, but towards the words we tell ourselves, including those no one can hear. Words matter, and the ones you don’t hear matter more. Words create magic in our lives, which is why they are SPELLED.

When used positively, words create light and help you grow, heal, and change. In Genesis 1:3, God said, “Let it be light,” what was once dark was no longer. Further down, in Genesis 1:27, God created man and woman in His image and likeness. It means that if our words are not making light, we, as men and women, are not behaving as His likeness. L: Let your tongue be the creator of light for your and others ’ lives. You will see the light shining brighter in your life. Moreover, words can help you heal.

Even though our bodies are composed of the same minerals, they all react differently to medicines, treatments, etc. However, it has been discovered, by experimenting with rabbits, that kind words, love, and patience can help everyone heal. The research was conducted in 1978 by Dr. Robert Nerem and his crew of scientists. The research was conducted to establish a relationship between a diet high in fats and heart health. This research found that just like rabbits, people thrive in a community where health, love, connection, purpose, etc., are bolstered. This kind of treatment, in general, can modify health on a molecular, individual, interpersonal, and global level (Books, 2019). Let’s take this a bit deeper.

The body of a normal adult contains around 60 percent of water. And the words allowed in our minds will determine the level of change we achieve. Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese businessman, author, and pseudoscientist, experimented with water. Dr. Emoto took two containers filled with water and placed them in similar locations, with the same temperature, etc. The only difference was the words he spoke to the two. He said beautiful words in one container, too, and in the other, not-so-beautiful words. After freezing the water, it was observed under a microscope. Dr. Emoto discovered that the container to which the beautiful words were spoken was beautiful snowflake shapes. However, there were cracks and ugly patterns on the second container. This experiment shows how the human consciousness is impacted by the words we allow in our minds. Words matter, mind your tongue.

Lastly, words help with the growth process. Various experiments conducted with plants recorded that plants placed in a positive environment and praised while growing had a higher germination rate and grew taller, larger, and healthier than those in a hostile environment (Choube & Sharma, 2021). Furthermore, when a woman spoke to the plants, they grew two inches taller. The same effects will happen to any human placed in a positive environment and praised for growth (Get Rid of Old Ways to Heal).

I challenge you to read this article and to mind your tongue. Create light, help people grow, change, and heal. I dare you to behave and speak in His likeness. BE THE CHANGE!!! #TheHumbleLeader
